I have been collecting dreams and making dream-stickers for several years. These dream-stickers consist of two sides. On one side, there is a dream excerpted from Charlotte Beradt’s book, The Third Reich of Dreams: The Nightmares of a Nation 1933-1939. Beradt, a Berlin-based journalist, secretly recorded people’s dreams during the Nazi regime. On the other side of the dream-stickers, there is an empty space inviting people to write down their own dreams. Some of the dream-stickers presented on this page were placed on walls in the streets of Istanbul. Others were filled in during a workshop I organized called Dream Counter(), at the Spore Initiative in Berlin, during the book launch of Beyond Molotovs - A Visual Handbook of Anti-Authoritarian Counterstrategies().
